Our 16 month old thoroughly enjoyed herself here, it was even better than visiting wildlife parks. The farm animals are very friendly and will come up to the house. You'll wake up to seeing them around the house. There's a dryer and washer. We couldn't find a hair dryer though, not sure if that was available. Firewood, basic amenities were all provided. I would stay here again if I come back to this part of WA.

I stayed one night at Walpole Wilderness Resort and absolutely loved it. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views that made the short stay feel wonderfully relaxing. The hosts were welcoming and made check-in effortless, ensuring everything was perfect from the start.
Even though it was just one night, the experience was memorable — quiet, comfortable, and beautifully set in nature. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a refreshing short getaway in the wilderness.

Amazing accomodation. A very luxurious rest day while riding the mundi biddi. The hosts were lovely and there was a whole range of farm animals to keep us entertained. Highly recommend.

The house is situated on a very peaceful farm. It's incredibly cozy and well-equipped. Although the evenings were a bit chilly, the fireplace kept us warm. The surrounding natural scenery is beautiful, and the animals are adorable, especially the enthusiastic herd of goats.

Maria and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming. Before our trip, they gave us plenty of advice on how to get there, which allowed us to arrive at their farm very smoothly.
Our kids absolutely loved this place. There were many goats, sheep, emus, as well as chickens, ducks, and even an alpaca. Maria showed us the one-day-old chicks and let the kids try feeding the baby goats. Her family also chatted with us the whole time and offered us a lot of help.
The room was decorated in a cozy style and had all the daily necessities we needed. When we visited, the weather was a bit cool, but they provided firewood to light the fireplace, along with electric blankets and heaters—all of which made us feel extremely warm.
 we all love here!

This place is balm for the soul!
So peaceful, apart from the wildlife and free ranging farm animals who added interest and were a lot of fun.
On a cold, rainy day in mid September it was a real treat to find a wood burner ready to light and electric blankets on the beds. so thoughtful. Thank you, Jim and Maria, for your friendly welcome!

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed.
We were welcomed with beaming smiles from the host family from the start. They went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.
Our children had a ball playing with all the animals. Emus popping their heads up at our verandah, goats and sheep wandering freely enjoy pats and cuddles from the kids. Wonderful accommodation in a wonderful setting. The imperfections are what make this place so perfect. Even bucketing down with rain, we loved every minute.
We cant wait to return for another beautiful weekend away.

Both hosts were lovely despite initial confusion over the booking. The rooms were lovely but showed some wear on benchtops. We had all we needed for a very peaceful stay.

this place is amazing. my wife and I spent two nights and the views were incredible. we got a friendly knock on the door by the host with a friendly greeting and an invitation from my animal mad wife to feed the emus and goats. (we were than greeted by goats and emus every morning looking for seconds!)
the fire keeps the place warm and theres a good kitchen with everything you need.

Walpole wilderness retreat was the perfect place to spend a couple of nights either side of our visit to the Valley of the Giants. We were greeted by Jim and his menagerie of very friendly goats, Legolas the emu, sheep and alpaca. Feeding Legolas and the goats by hand, the sounds of the surrounding woodland and the clear view of the Milky Way of an evening made for a really special end to our adventure south of Perth. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
